Amazing family spot for crabs. My father first came to the Tap Room in his teens and we have made it our father-daughter spot ever since my birth. Delicious crabs, phenomenal service, and an all around lovely place. If you're nervous about picking your own carbs, they will take the time to teach you! This spot is loved by both locals and tourists, and is a must-visit.
I worked here over 30 years ago and it still is a great place to go. Locals eat here, it's good, inexpensive and has a small town feel. Joe the owner is often here, seek him out if need. Cash only, ATM on-site.
We used to eat here years ago and always had a great meal. Last night was horrible. The food was tastless, cold and seemed to have been cooked much earlier in the day. The service was ridiculous, the food came out in stages. The crabs came 20 minutes before the cold sides and other meals. $9.95 for cold buttered pasta? Never Again!!!!
The family and I used to eat here a lot back in the early 2000's and were always pleased. We Decided to order $300 worth of crabs over the holiday weekend from here since the crab shack were out of 1's. They tasted as if they had been reheated and more than half of them were not edible. Legs were missing from quite a few, and not just the claws like ALL of the legs. Will not be making the mistake of ordering crabs from here again.
