Funky old place and somewhat derelict. Watch for the semi submerged pier posts as you get close to the marina. They are not very well marked.
This is the best Marina in the area in our opinion. We came last year to have work done on our boat and liked it so much that we gave up our paid slip at another marina and stayed! Manager Christie, and her staff Tim and Rene are helpful, accommodating, knowledgeable and very friendly and there to help with lines, docking or anything else you need! Slip holders are friendly neighbors who quickly become friends, always willing to lend a helping hand! Slips are kept in top shape and even though protected, we love the gentle rocking from the few wakes and swells that come in. If we didn't like any motion we wouldn't have a boat!
Since the new ownership, there have been many upgrades with plans to continue making it better. Are there cheaper slips at other places...Yes, but from someone who sacrificed a paid slip (getting no money back) to come here, I think that speaks for itself!
Was back again and was treated worse that the first time. Management is so bad!
We recently hauled our boat up from Southern Maryland and needed a Marina in the Upper Chesapeake with Winter Storage. After a quick phone call, Christie, the manager, helped us right out. She was very friendly and immediately set us up with a temporary slip and storage. It couldn't have went any smoother. We were off the trailer and the staff guided us in to a beautiful slip in minutes. I'm looking forward to a nice October on the Bohemia River!
The staff were welcoming and friendly. The facilities were well kept. The docks are well maintained and there is a nice club house. Unfortunately there is no reliable internet, and what there is only allows for 2 free hours. This is inadequate when a web page takes 1 minute to download and e-mail can take up to 5 minutes.
